The rigorous schedule of construction works continues on the infrastructure project at UEG Araucária, located in the metropolitan region of Curitiba. The contractor - BECHTEL GROUP, INC - through Bechtel Construções, works in over 40 countries in the generation of thermoelectric energy and requires their local partners hold to international standards of quality. A factor that was decisive in their choice of DM. With a scheduled operation date set for the later part of 2002, the unit will generate 480 MW and is fed by natural gas supplied by the Brazil – Bolivia Pipeline. This project is but another DM contribution to the generation of electrical energy for the nation.
